This is a story. This is pure fiction. This is a test. ...but for you or for me? ~.~ On a sunshine filled day like today, I had all the time in the world for you. We lay on our backs in the grass, dancing silhouettes of the canopy above us, tiny little pockets of light escaping through, like sparkling diamonds another world away... In the light, in the noise of all that clarity, we never did communicate very well... ~.~

Happy New Year!!!

No need to point out that I am a week late :P And I'm quite aware of how every time I say I'll write soon, I never do.. in fact, it's probably a signal that it'll be a long time between posts... so no need to point that out either!

I'm wondering if I should go back into my memory banks and write something about Canberra (not that I've forgotten much, but what I remember needs to be censored for public viewing, I mean, reading ;P).

Actually, I'm going to do a brief summary of the highlights and possibly lowlights of 2007 because it was an awesome year that was long and far too short and hard and really heart-wrenching and eye-opening and exciting and crazy all at once. It really was.

So the following list is not in any particular order and will probably peter out in detail towards the end due to my diminishing desire to sit in front of the computer and my growing boredom towards my own words..

Events about this year I will (hopefully) never forget:

- Lying on the carpet at Ernie's church with lit candles all around us, crying..

- Getting absolutely stupidly drunk with Ernie, Ms Catdog and Tyso, spilling red wine on Ernie's carpet, bawling my eyes out in his bed, lying in his garden while they talked, and being so hung over the next day that Dad had to come and pick me up..

- Living most of first semester in a haze, hating it

- Writing to Ms V, rediscovering my voice, another perspective

- MIFF, so many people, so many hours, so many movies, so much fun!

- The Red Cross and the wonderful people there, especially Yvette and Jo, and the amount of laughs it gave me recounting the questions we had to ask and even more amusing, the answers we received!

- The new people in my life who have brightened it up significantly: Andrea, Jess, The Queen of Hearts, Ms Red, the people I've met through MFT, especially Michael and Angèle and David

- Le Petit Prince, the most stressful week of the whole year, where I learnt so much about people

- Walking through unihigh with Ms Blu, a beautiful Saturday, reminiscing and sadly wondering why the school looked so old and run-down...

- Failing for the first time in my Arts degree...

- Sydney and the amazing three days I spent there with my two bestest buddies in the WHOLE world and meeting Ms Red...

- Ms Blu's fundraising and the many, many, many cooking (and cleaning) parties held at that well-utilised two-bedroom apartment of her sister's

- Rediscovering my addiction to the internet and chatting on msn, and randomly spamming people's inboxes, staying up far too late, doing personality tests

- WoW!

- Eating and drinking out, new happy discoveries include: Manchuria, The Red Hummingbird, D.O.C's, Squires Loft steakhouse, The Famous Blue Raincoat, La Dolce Vita, Kenzan Collins place, Little Cupcakes, Jerry's Milkbar, that Vietnamese place in St Albans, Madame Brussels, La Niche, and I'm sure there's more but I can't think of them right now cos it'll just make me more hungry (than I already am right now)..

- Canberra and the two beautiful days/nights I spent there..

Well, there's obviously more but I'm getting bored and writing about all that good food has made me hungry..

So anyway, I hope you all had a safe and happy new year (if I haven't caught up with you yet)!! Much love!

k bai *waves* :D

la la luce xx
