OMG I HATE THE MELBOURNE MODEL!!! >.<

I have two more subjects left to complete my degree. I was going to do Media Histories and Language and Media and that would have been perfect because even the timetables worked out so that I would only be at uni two days a week so that I could probably work the other three days, but noooooooooooo! La la luce's luck means that for some reason Language and Media is no longer offered (even though it says that it IS offered on the website!!) so I was like, ok, I'll do 1st Language Acquisition instead.

The day after I sorted out my enrolment I get an email telling me that due to unforeseen illness, 1st Language Acquisition will not be offered in 2008.... -.-

So I've been browsing the Melbourne uni website for like two days looking for another linguistics subject to complete my major and there are NONE!!! Argh!!! Not to mention that the Melbourne uni website is crap and confusing and the Melbourne Model has like totally wiped out most of the subjects that used to be available..

I was going to go in to uni today to sort it out but then I got lazy and Taxi needs a bath and it's probably time I cleaned my room... so I'll sort it out on Monday along with all the other things I need to do..

Exciting newses:

- Madame Brussels tonight! and dinner parté on Saturday night!

- Bert's birthday thingy next Friday! It's been wayyy too long since I've seen Bert and Ernie so I'm really looking forward to catching up with them again :D

- The big sis and I will be going rock climbing hopefully on Sunday to see if she can stand doing it weekly with me and start actually getting fit!

- We're going to start looking for a little sister for taxi :)

- Mon nom est carnunee et je suis un mage! :D

Aren't we gorgeous? :D I am, of course, the one with purple hair...

- I'm working with much more interesting stuff at MFT now. Although, it stresses me out a little that we still can't find a venue yet... :S

I'M GOING TO CANBERRA!
Yay! :D

Ok, so most of you probably think I'm an idiot for getting so excited over Canberra, but there are many, many reasons why Canberra is very exciting. I shall list only a few:

1. I have wanted to visit ever since first year archi when we did City in History. Along with Brasilia. I find planned cities fascinating... also to a lesser extent Chandigarh...

2. National Gallery of Australia. Once again, a place I've wanted to visit since learning about Postmodern architecture and then again in Postmodernism last semester. Yay for boolean knot!

3. This will be the first holiday I go on alone since I've come home from France. This is a big deal, personally, cos.. well, cos y'all know how lonely I got in France and how much I (sometimes) hated travelling alone...

BUT (!!)

this leads to the next reason:

4. I won't be completely alone because I will have the company and hospitality of someone super :D

Anyway, I should go wash the dog now.
